A TOTAL of 20 households in Colchester are still watching television in black and white, according to the TV Licensing agency.
The cost of a black and white licence is £49, compared to £145.50 for a colour licence.
Colour transmissions began 48 years ago.
Across the country, 11,550 households have black and white licenses.
