Sweet fundraiser to beat child cruelty
A CHARITY fundraiser is certain to have the sweet taste of success.
The Emerald ball will this year have a Willy Wonka-style infusion of sweets and candy-inspired decoration as well as a host of entertainment.
The event, which is supported by the Gazette, is a major fundraiser for the Colchester branch of the NSPCC.
The event, which is being held at Colchester’s contemporary art gallery Firstsite, will offer a night of entertainment including a meal, casino tables, caricaturists and circus performers.
The first Emerald ball was held in 2008 and it has now become an annual event, last year raising more than £8,000.
This year, money raised will pay for counsellors to go into Colchester schools to help children who are being bullied.
Tickets for the event, which is on Saturday November 16, cost £75 and are available from KAT Marketing on 01206 765544 or via email
