In today's Gazette: Tributes have been paid to bubbly and fun-loving Kirsty Humphreys, 23, who was found dead at her home in Colchester.
Kirsty's body was found by her daughter Brooke who is four. Kirsty's partner Mark Czapla, 24, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
* An activity centre which provided a lifeline for elderly and disabled people in Colchester has been shut.
Colchester Council made the decision to close the centre saying it could not afford the £74,000 a year subsidy.
* Raiders got away with thousands of pounds from a bank after breaking in through an extractor fan in a Mission Impossible style heist.
Two men, wearing white overalls and gloves, raided the NatWest branch in Station Road, Clacton, after getting in from flat roofs and fire escapes on adjoining buildings.
* A shopkeeper confronted masked raiders who smashed their way into his store.
Terry Atkins, owner of the Village Stores in Nayland, founds two men wearing hooded tops and balaclavas.
