TEENAGERS across north Essex are this morning discovering how they fared in their A-levels.
Two thirds of examinations taken at Philip Morant College received a C-grade or above.
Overall the college is celebrating a 99 per cent pass rate.
All of the 118 students at Colchester County High School for Girls walked away from yesterday’s results day with at least three A-Levels.
A total of 63.5 per cent of all the grades were A* or A and 32 of the girls got at least four As.
Headteacher Gillian Marshall said: “These are the best results achieved at this school for many, many years."
The Sixth Form College, Colchester, saw a 98 per cent pass rate with 50 per cent of the grades being A* - B.
Nearly 95 per cent of the 1300 students have achieved three or more A-Level qualifications.
Principle Ian MacNaughton said: “The students’ achievements are quite outstanding and they must be very warmly congratulated.”
