A COLCHESTER fish and chip shop described as a "top-rated chippy" has been shortlisted for an award given out by a food delivery service.
Frydays, in Ipswich Road, is in with a chance of winning Deliveroo's Best Fish and Chips in South England and Wales award.
The highly-anticipated annual awards recognise Deliveroo’s most popular local partners.
A spokesman for Deliveroo said: "Frydays is a much-loved and top-rated chippy in Colchester. It is known for its friendly staff and delicious food."
This year's contest will see TV celeb Rylan Clark form part of the judging panel, although the public will inform the bulk of the decision.

Food lovers can cast their votes until January 21 at 11.59pm, with those who participate automatically being entered into a draw to win £500 in-app credit.
